Obituary for Cecily Anne Johnson

Daughter of Thomas E. and Barbara A. Caliman and Sister of J. Richard Caliman, all Owners of Caliman Funeral Service

Cecily Anne Johnson (Caliman), 53 went to her rest Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Zanesville Campus of Genesis Hospital. Born March 11,1970 in Nuremberg, Germany to Thomas and Barbara (Portis) Caliman. Cecily graduated from West Muskingum High School and briefly attended Zanes State Technical College. She enjoyed helping people as evidenced by her employment at Adams Lane Care Center, Ohio State University Hospital and most recently at Genesis Healthcare Systems. In addition to that, she at one time worked with her parents at Caliman Funeral Services. Cecily grew up singing in the choirs at Apostolic Christian Church and continued with her love of music at Grace Apostolic Church in Columbus, Ohio. At the time of her passing, she faithfully attended Hands of Faith Church. Cecily will be remembered for her giving spirit, friendly demeanor, and her tasty dishes. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jonathan Johnson Sr.; her children, Kiah M., Jonathan Myles II. and Eaton P.T.; siblings, J. Richard (Suzé Shipley) and Aaron (Vontisa Harvey); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends and church families. She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents John and Marie Caliman, maternal grandparents Richard and Olivia Portis. Family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Chapel of CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, 3700 Refugee Rd., Columbus, OH 43232. Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at 7pm Hands of Faith Church, 607 Brighton Blvd., Zanesville, OH 43701. Dr. Michael Bullock will be officiating and the family will receive friends from 6pm until the time of service. The family has planned for a Private Burial.
