Michael McWhorter is the Business Development Representative and Industry Leader for Indiana with SCU, where he serves as the statewide liaison to coroners' offices, funeral homes, and law enforcement agencies. In his role, he educates industry professionals on bio-remediation and crime scene cleanup services, helping ensure families receive compassionate, ethical, and professional support during difficult circumstances.
Michael is a former homicide detective with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and currently serves as a Deputy Coroner for Hamilton County, Indiana. His career has been dedicated to public service, investigations, and supporting families through times of loss.
Raised in a family-owned funeral home, Michael developed an early appreciation for the funeral profession and the importance of integrity, compassion, and service. His unique combination of experience in law enforcement, death investigation, and funeral service enables him to provide valuable insight and trusted guidance to the professionals and communities he serves.
