Tyler J. O’Brien, Ed.D., CFSP, CCSP, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer serving families in the Toledo area through Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe. Licensed in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan, he brings a unique blend of practical funeral service experience, education, and research to his presentations.

A Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) and Certified Cremation Service Provider (CCSP), Dr. O’Brien earned degrees from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Lourdes University, and the University of the Cumberlands, where he completed his Doctor of Education focused on professional development and retention in funeral service.

An author, educator, and frequent speaker, Dr. O’Brien has presented continuing education programs, community seminars, and leadership workshops on topics impacting today’s funeral professionals.
