Obituary for Harry C. Cowper

Retired Funeral Director at Monreal Funeral Home

Harry C. Cowper, age 90, passed away on December 31, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, OH on November 26, 1928 to the late Eugene and Catherine Cowper.

Harry was a proud US Korean War Veteran. He was a devoted employee for over 50 years with the Monreals as a funeral director and embalmer. Harry was also a proud member of the Eastside Irish American Club and Knights of Columbus Council 15478. He was an avid runner and absolutely loved animals. Harry's smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.

Harry was the beloved husband of Olga Cowper for 19 years; a beloved husband of the late Patricia Cowper for 26 years; a loving father of Denise (Stephen) Cowper Crowther, of Chagrin Falls, OH and Sharon (William) Cowper Stevenson Hunt, of Roswell, GA; a proud grandfather of Brendan Joseph Crowther and Brian Patrick Crowther; a brother of the late William and Eugene Cowper; and an uncle to many.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 PM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Monreal Funeral Home 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St Bede the Venerable Church 9114 Lakeshore Blvd. Mentor, OH 44060. Burial will occur in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
