Notification of Death - Norman C. Bliss

OFDA received word this morning that Norman C. Bliss, age 86, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in Safety Harbor, Florida. Mr. Bliss formally owned and operated Bliss-Peoples Funeral Home, Leipsic, Ohio. He was a member of the Ohio and National Funeral Directors Associations.

Mr. Bliss is survived by a daughter, Martha Jane (Gary) Hartman and granddaughter, Marcia Hartman.

The Shields Funeral Home has handled the arrangements. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 1:30 PM in the Hueston Cemetery, Forest, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent-Depaul Soup Kitchen, Clearwater, Florida or Hospice of Florida Suncoast, Clearwater, Florida in care of Shields Funeral Home, 301 South Patterson Street, Forest, Ohio 45843.

Military rites will be conducted by McVitty VFW Post #1182 and American Legion Post #259, Forest, Ohio.
