Notification of Death - Lowell E. Chandler

OFDA received word this afternoon about the death of member LOWELL E. CHANDLER, 70, of Wintersville, OH, died Wednesday, October 05, 2005 in his home following a brief illness.

After graduating from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a funeral director/embalmer and a co-owner of the McClave- Chandler- Mills Funeral Home of Steubenville/Wintersville retiring December 31, 1987. He held a professional support staff position with the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, Richmond from 1993 until present. He was a member of the Ohio and National Funeral Directors Assn and the Ohio Embalmers Assn.

He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Donohue who died in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Mona Lou (Clark) Chandler whom he married November 4, 1961, by two daughters, Victoria Lee Chandler, Pembroke Pines, FL and Cynthia Ann Seese and husband Michael, Twinsburg, OH; a son-in-law, Patrick Donohue, Hopedale, one sister, Patricia Ann Hoggarth and husband, Tom, Fargo, ND; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Ann and Peter Olivito, Richmond; by grandchildren Sean Chandler Donohue, Valerie Marie Seese, Clark Allen Seese, and several nieces and nephews.

Interment in the Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
